This variety is a special cross between Zarya Severa (a hybrid orininating from Vitis amurensis in Asia) and St. Laurent. It was created in 1964 by Professor Vilém Kraus in Czechoslovakia. First planted for research and later in bigger scale in the mid 1980s by Thomas Walk Vineyard in Ireland under the name Amurensis Walk. It was named Rondo in 1997.

Vinification: After 3 hours maceration with the skins, the juice is separated. Fermentation in inox for 45 days at a temperature of 14°С.
Tasting notes: Beautiful pale pink color, with shades of ripe peach and brilliant shine. Tender, fine, rich and attractive aroma of white peach and white cherries with accent of violets and white flowers. The taste is fruity, with nice freshness. The finish is long, with soft and tender fruity aftertaste.
