Suhindol Peak, the highest point of the Danube Plain, rises at 480 meters above sea level. This is a long-extinct volcano, with a 9-meter wide crater. The volcanic ashes are rich in mineral content and have contributed to the formation of soils, excellent for vine-growing. Just below the peak, at the 299 meter mark, lies a strech of land called Star Dimcha (Old Dimcha) with our vineyards, wherefrom this unique wine has come to life. Modern and daring, the Gamza "KOTTA 299" wine blends the taste and style of the New World with the centuries-old Bulgarian vine-growing and winemaking traditions.
 
TASTING NOTES
Dense, bright and vivid garnet-red color. Rich aromas with notes of succulent black cherry, freshly made blackberry jam, roast pumpkin, elderberries, cinnamon and iodine. Multi-layered flavour structure of black cherry, blackberries and exotic spices. Well integrated noble oak and rounded tannins contribute to the perfection of this exquisite wine. Long and fruity aftertaste.

HOW TO DRINK IT
Food: BBQ, Beef, Casseroles and Stews, Game, Duck, Hamburger, Lamb (Grilled, Broiled), Pasta with Tomato Sauce, Pates, Steak (Grilled, Broiled), Venison.
Cheese: Brie, Camembert, Danish Blu, Sharp Cheddar, other predominantly matured cheeses.
